Blue Lot represents the culture of Morgantown and West Virginia athletics. That is something I have stood by since I arrived here to play basketball in 2008. The bourbon feels connected to this place because it is. It comes from a real tailgating tradition, and I believe people will connect with what the name represents.
I've spent years covering West Virginia athletics, and one thing has never changed is that the Blue Lot is where game day begins. It's where friends, families and fans from around the state and the country gather, and where the excitement of a Saturday in Morgantown really starts. That's what makes Blue Lot Bourbon such a natural fit. It isn't trying to create a tradition. Blue Lot Bourbon is celebrating one that's already been part of West Virginia football for decades.
